About Us
We are CyclingForTheSeas.

Our Challenge.
The Mission is simple,
1000 miles on second hand bikes,
Two weeks exploring the scottish coastline
While spreading awareness about the problems it faces
We are two university students who see and want to make a small change in this world
Our Mission
Starting from our home in Edinburgh, we’re embarking on a two-week, 1,600km cycling adventure, following the rugged Scottish coastline on classic 1980s road bikes.
It might seem surprising to cover long distances on older bikes, however often cycling is linked to consumerism and having access to "all the latest kit." We do not support this, and believe in using the resources already in society without the need to fabricate more.
Our route winds through Scotland’s most breathtaking seascapes, passing through Scotland's historic towns, and remote coastal villages.
Each day we will cycle—120 to 160 km. But this journey it’s about showing Scotland’s shores and raising awareness of the threats they face.
We’ll be documenting key moments along the way—sharing the highs, the challenges, and some of the astonishing views—so that everyone can experience the beauty and fragility of our seas with us.
Follow the ride. Support the mission. Be part of the change.

"We have decided to do this for our love for cycling, nature, and the seas.
I personally am a surfer, this means my live revolves around being in and around the ocean. I have been lucky enough to travel a lot for surfing but I'm always eager to return to the Scottish coast. There's just something special about beaches here.
And seeing the critical state of coastal ecosystems in our areas breaks my heart and pushes me to try and help somehow.
This is my how."
